Warm Up: Partner Guessing Game (Study practice) (10 minutes – 1 minute per category – swap roles as guesser and the person giving clues)

  • State the game category using the last night’s checklist for studying (En la tienda de ropa, para ir de compras…etc.)
  • Use the whiteboards to give hints for your partner to guess the correct vocabulary word.
  • Use pictures and Spanish clues to help them. Body motions are ok and sounds are allowed. English is not allowed at all.
  • For example: The category “En la tienda de Ropa” // Word is shirt– The clue giver could draw a shirt. If the word is green – write a hint “el color de brócoli o ensalada”. Act out verbs with body motions and Spanish hints.

Classwork:

Las Metas (Objectives): Mid-Year Review: Students will review and practice Repaso Units I, II, and III to prepare for the Midyear Exam.

Review Packet – Activity go back to vocabulary topics – brainstorm and list.


Students will work on each Repaso independently for five minutes - Brainstorm Vocabulary Lists
Students will quiz each other using whiteboards on the vocabulary after 15 minutes of independent work.
